Moonstruck.

When Cher was moonstruck, she fell in love.

"When the moon hits you' eye
Like a big pizza pie
It's Amore..."

But I'm thinking that is not what the moon
really does. I am starting to think that a
full moon brings out the worst in people.

I'm not alone.

The story of the werewolf always had
angry episodes during a full moon. The
gentle werewolf could resist and be a
nice creature all of the other times,
but during a full moon, he'd get PMS
and that was that.

In Schools: The boys seem to get into
more fights on the four days of a
full moon. The girls have more crises.

Oh, yes. The four days of a full moon
are like the 12 days of xmas, right?
No, but still.

These seem to be the three days prior,
and the one visible Day Of Full Moon.

People who are otherwise thoughtful make
up their minds to become distrustful and
rude when the moon is full.

Even in psychiatric places, they note that
it is always busy for them on the full moon.

Here is what skepdic says:
The full moon has been linked to crime, suicide, mental illness, disasters, accidents,  birthrates, fertility, and werewolves, among other things. Some people even buy and sell stocks according to phases of the moon, a method probably as successful as many others. Numerous studies have tried to find lunar effects. So far, the studies have failed to establish anything of interest, except that the idea of the full moon definitely sends some lunatics (after luna, the Latin word for moon) over the edge.
http://skepdic.com/fullmoon.html So he disagrees. (I don't know this site; I just looked up "the full moon" on google for today's column). In fact, he says that the media (does that mean me too?) help the community perpetuate this myth. He might be right, but it doesn't feel that way. Another friend has entirely fallen in love with her new telescope. I think this is a good way to handle the cosmos, and its changes to us. Look it straight in the eye for an hour. She's spent time with family this weekend. So I've been asking around, and listening to things personally. I think the moon has an effect on people I know, generally for the worse. Since it only lasts a few days, life should return to normal shortly after that. I'd like that. I'll try to keep a civil tongue in my head until then. That's all I know.
